Where we came from:The Beauty Project is a branch of Her Life Speaks. HLS was founded in 2007 at a church in NJ and then in 2016 decided to become a stand-alone ministry. This is also when The Beauty Project was created. The team is made up of HLS members and volunteers who have a passion for helping teen girls.

What we do:The Beauty Project holds events for girls of different age groups throughout the year where we focus on different themes. In 2017 we focused on self-worth, in 2019 we focused on using your voice. Our events are big and small, depending on the season. We're planning some fun things, so make sure to get on our newsletter to stay up to date on upcoming events.

What we believe:Her Life Speaks believes in one truth. And that truth is that our Heavenly Father, sent his one son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. This truth is the most important truth, and is the foundation to our testimonies and teachings. We strive to be faithful servants and are growing and learning through this journey, every day.

"Thank you to the awesome team of incredible women so much for being a vessel for my daughter! She had an absolutely amazing time at the Beauty Project! She couldn't stop talking about how great it was and how much she wants to fulfill God's plan for her life! I thank you with all my heart! May God continue to bless you and your ministry!" "The Beauty Project has been a wonderful blessing for our girls. After getting bombarded with the secular world all week, this girl’s event was a place to get back to our reality and in touch with God. My girls joined their peers in a Christ based environment and they come home filled with the Holy Spirit. After picking them up, they reminded me that they are indeed "Princesses," they told me "I am a princess and my Father is the King of Kings". I am grateful that The Beauty Project exists. Thank you!" "As we parents teach, model and supervise many things in our kids’ lives, we won't fully know the impact we have on our children until they start making decisions on their own - as a teen, young adult, employee, spouse, parent, etc. If repetition of message is truly the way to embed values and traits, this event can only be another positive layer on our daughters’ hearts and minds. I’m sure the words and messages discussed that day were more powerful coming from Christ-filled, successful young ladies than the repeated echo of our 'parental' voices. We would absolutely attend another conference in the future. Additionally, I found a few things about her that I didn't know -- always a bonus." Glen Ridge High School Parent

"Every Christian parent is looking for a ministry where their pre-teen/ teen daughter can grow spiritually, learn who she is in Christ's eyes, and have fun! Our daughter not only looks forward to her time at The Beauty Project with friends and Ms. April but feels a sense of sisterhood in a world so full of social pressure and disappointments. This is a place where her soul is fed and she can ask over and over again: "What does the Bible say about that?" Through carefully chosen curriculum and instruction the girls are empowered to gain biblical wisdom and insight into the practical decisions they will make as young women in today's world. This program has been a blessing to our family. It's fulfilled the need of our daughter having Christian adult role models and friendships. Truly, an answer to prayer!" Tiffany and Aram Minnetian

“Both my daughters have attended the girls’ ministry for several years. It has been a safe haven where they feel loved, accepted and challenged. Loved by God, the leaders and their fellow peers; accepted for who they are as daughters of the King, despite their imperfections, and challenged to live for Christ, to lay their burdens and cares at His feet because He loves them with an Everlasting Love. As they learned in these areas they simultaneously evaluate their place in this world. To rise above the fake and the lies. To distinguish between what God wants them to be and what the world wants from them. To send them back out into the world equipped to put out the flaming arrows the Enemy tries to shoot. I would encourage any parent of a preteen and teenage girl to be in such a group. Here she will learn to be her true self by studying the Word of God, taking challenges and building relationships with others. To become what God wants her to be.” Louise Gulleyan
