Seven Things I wish I Knew when I was a Teenager

Have you ever thought “If only I had known _________when I was a teenager my life would have been a lot different”? On occasion I have pondered this and came up with a list of things I wish I was told. 

Here’s my list of the 7 things I wish I knew when I was a teen:  

• If only I had known Jesus. 
  
• If only I knew that Jesus designed and created my body – it was not an accident of nature or genes. 
  
• If only I knew that Jesus made me wonderfully and God loved me just as I was.
  
• If only I knew that Jesus loved me in spite of my mistakes, faults, weaknesses, failures, etc.
  
• If only I knew that Jesus had good plans for me. 
  
• If I only had known that God would become my very Best Friend. 
  
• If I had known I would have been less insecure, angry, hurt, fearful, and lonely. 
  

Today, I have tried to instill all that I’ve learned about Jesus and His GREAT love into my two teenage girls. However, I know they cannot receive it all from me and I need other women to help teach and guide them. It does take a village.

Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.  Proverbs 22:6

The Beauty Project is a perfect opportunity for girls to learn and grow in a safe and fun atmosphere about God’s love for them and their identity in Christ. 

I hope you will come with your daughter(s) and make it a priority for them so they’ll be ahead of the game in their faith, value and self-worth.
